Background

Southern Sheeting are a large composite cladding company supplying a high number of trade customers; to support their growth ambitions they were consolidating a number of old warehouses into a modern facility which would involve a temporary reduction in warehouse capacity.  The goal was to rationalise the diverse SKU range whilst maintain high availability and the ability to react quickly to new orders.

Solution

Circular Supply Chain conducted a inventory discovery programme over 5 days to assess areas of opportunity to consolidate the stock, reduce inventory levels and remove obsolete stock from the range.

Results

Recommendations were made to clear 30% of the SKUs and phase the future intake aligned to the phased building of the new warehouse.
